Afternoon all - its been raining all morning, not the happy sunny day like yesterday

You will be glad to know I logged MSE off this morning and tied myself to the grindstone and I have done the wrapping :j

I am waiting on eldest sons major gift which according to Amazon is on the van now. Also I activated one of eldest childs major presents so hopefully a physical card will be here sometime in the next 2 weeks - at least I have an email confirmation if the worst does happen.
Last night I was playing on Amazon and I found the perfect book for youngest son so I also ordered this and it has been sent out first class (which makes me think its very small and thin because this is what I do with small thin books I sell on Amazon, they go first class)

I've got a couple to wrap for OH but I am at a critical stage with the wrapping paper so I am just waiting for the things in the post to arrive first - he may have to have non matching paper

If anyone hears of any nice thick gold wrapping paper (or silver) going into the marks, John Lewis etc sale shout loudly

I had some very nice gold holographic paper from Marks about 3 years ago and I bought masses of rolls - was it 50p or something silly - which I have finally all used up  I even got the matching gift tags in another sale for 25p each

we may have to have any colour scheme next year

also had a long Skype chat with youngest son this morning and he says what he really wants for Christmas is ordinary black thin socks

apparently they are the one thing that is expensive out in Hong Kong and he refuses to pay £8 for socks out there

I sent him out with numerous pairs of green and blue marks cotton fresh socks I got in the sale earlier in the year but I think he objected to the jazzy colours -he seems to think green and blue are jazzy colours ???

so I might just make things very easy for myself and get him Marks cotton fresh thin black socks - I think they come in sets of 7 and I will get maybe 2 or 3 lots
unless anyone knows of anywhere you can bulk buy mens socks?

I think youngest son is thinking of cheap and cheerful but my reasoning is that because of the heat and humidly in Hong Kong its far better to have socks with natural fibres in.

  • Good afternoon.

Been to T and PO, all OK.

But in T today, mysteriously, the B/form mocs were refused - firstly as they wouldn't scan so that was attributed to being the 'wrong' type and not as per illustration, so went back and swapped them for some that were identical, then the mocs failed again, so the SA decided it was because what was illustrated were actually multipacks, so was given option to go get those, I declined this as more expensive and not on 2 for £2. Till receipt came out as a big long thing, what with all the additions/multibuy discounts/deductions/multibuy adjustments. :)

Not inspected the mocs yet to see if that is correct but they have been putting these through manually on 5 separate occasions now, but not today. No prob, have plenty now anyway.

Got the Quality Street on 2 for £6, might get more tomorrow as 40p per 100g is good for a chocoholic's budget.

    xx

    £9 each - a real bargain

Getting cheap lounge passes now that really is a black art but something really vital before long haul flights

The way I do it is Barclays Travel Plus Pack £13.50 - £4 loyalty bonus = £9.50 for 6 visits per year. Sign up for the month you are traveling and then cancel the pack, plus World wide family travel insurance :D
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

    Weight loss 3 stone :D
