Morries comp giving nearly a £5 voucher again!:rotfl: I've done very well. Long receipt, which itself suggests they've overpaid (whether or not they come out 10% cheaper vs elsewhere - and we know that mixing of items and resulting in "more than 10% cheaper" does not mean that they were got at a good price - instead they were all got at A's price, which may be more expensive and cheaper (not necessarily cheap) for different items).

What's happened is they have not bought many mbuys - those that they have bought are mostly non-comparable vs M so none of them lose (even saying that though, there have been mbuys that I still want them to buy as they are expensive mbuys compared to the individual price elsewhere). They have not bought many r'back items - just (a lot of) normal essentials it seems. So it is largely full price vs full price elsewhere, which means the prices (which are fairly similar of course) on nearly all items that compare contribute to the 10%. Just a couple of items that lost:

1x Weetabix Weetos Chocolate Flavour Wheat Hoops (500G) £1.50 £2.67
    Not a good idea. And:

    1x After Eight Mint Chocolate Thins (300G) £1.50 £2.00

Should have bought 2x 200g A CBY Mint Thins and ended up with more product for, hopefully, cheaper (on weight) than even we were getting the After Eights for when they were M £1. Own label are 2 for £1 in M. I'm happier that M have come back down a little in price from what they went up to!

There are three items that, I believe, should have compared but which fail to do so:

    Petit Pains not comparing:
    2x Bake at Home Petits Pains (6PK) £1.00 N/A

This is A mbuy. Should be 50p each in M - but may be an issue with the description of the product on the SELs in M - M SELs are calling them White Rolls or Baguettes or something similar - I thought about going to a further store to try to get clarification of what the SEL was actually referring to, though the product present was clearly Petits Pains not White Rolls and this situation has happened before in that store of mine, when it turned out previously that they were the Petits Pains label in another store. Earlier store on Wednesday had them clearly out and with 50p pricing showing across them but no individual shelf SEL in particular for them.

    1x ASDA Smartprice Sausages (907G) £0.99 N/A
I think probably should be compared to 1Kg frozen version in M, but the price collectors failing to identify when there are comparable items in the frozen section but their weights are different. I think it's 1Kg - it's not 1.1Kg is it?

    Carrots not comparing:
    1x ASDA Grower's Selection British Carrots (1KG) £0.57 N/A:(

There's other items on which they have, in my view, paid too much - well, every one of them! The ones that are cheaper elsewhere they have paid too much on - and I've got the APG - but the ones they have compared full price vs full price have been bought at the wrong time and also paid too much for. In addition, they've bought at least one non-comparable item that is £1.50 in A at the moment but it has gone onto £1 r'backs in the past so that that was paid too much for it too!

I've just seen they now have bought what is probably a r'back - but it was not a good idea:
    1x Sharwood's Crushed Garlic & Coriander Poppadoms (72G) £1.00 £1.77

Larger other brand version available in other supermarkets at £1. And that did go to 50p RTC in M before.

    1x Nescafe Gold Blend Instant Coffee (200G) £5.00 £4.00
Still too dear for me now even at £4 price:eek:. That is £2/kg - which is standard offer price rather than rarer, lower good offer price. My guide price nowadays is £1.67/kg or maybe £1.48/kg (it is very precise).

    1x Tassimo Cadbury Hot Chocolate Pods 8 Servings (240G) £4.19 £3.00
    Expensive vs cheaper expensive price.

    1x ASDA Chosen by You Fusilli (1KG) £0.98 £0.98
Should have bought 3Kg version some months ago against T and compared vs £2. Would have lasted them somewhat longer and would have worked out much cheaper as not having to buy 1Kg packs each time therefore more frequently.

    1x ASDA Frozen Mushy Peas (1KG) £1.00 £1.00
An overpayment as: (a) aren't 10% cheaper and have lost the 10p as haven't claimed the APG themselves; and (b) were, all too briefly, 77p in M and should have been bought then (no excuse as they are frozen and would have kept well between that time and now).

    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Mixed Root Veg (1KG) £1.00 N/A
An overpayment as Lidl is 93p. Would probably be better buying the 39p packs of veg. in Aldi at the moment! Would get somewhat more and pay somewhat less - or at least much lower price per kg.

    They bought onions anyway:wall::

    1x ASDA Smartprice Onions (2KG) £1.00 N/A
50p for 1kg might have been okay in the past, though I now want 29ps to come back (as Lidl once on weekend offer of 1kg for that).

    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Pomegranates (3PK) £1.00 N/A
4 pack in M at £1, so another overpayment - though not sure if the ones in M packs are smaller.

1x Very Lazy Red Chillies in White Wine Vinegar (190G) £1.47 £1.47
I would be looking for prices of 48p (or lower:D) on products in this range.

All in all, though, a fairly good muggle shop on APG - although bought far too much - actually, it's only because we'd split into a lot of smaller shops and have good comps. on all items - but it seems to be items they needed - they didn't result in too many "mistakes" as not a lot significantly cheaper in A and mostly similar price.

That made up for the other two wombles being rather rubbish:rotfl:. One 63p - I may not even bother with it; and the other was more than 10% lower than everywhere.

Today's run was Liskeard, Looe, Callington, Tavistock (had to cross into blasted Devon lol), Launceston - so factor in £10 of diesel. Cornwall has quite a few, mine have been mostly Spars & butchers.

My T BG shop from earlier. When did the milk stop comparing :(

Not as big as my posts so I wouldn't worry:rotfl:.

When they moved to TBG and stopped comparing own label. Thus people may pay more on own brands in T now. Will pay more if it's milk that is £1 and is still 89p elsewhere (and if they don't have a coupon specific to T that is for more than 10p off).

Do not buy own label milk in T! Unless there really is no alternative 89p competitor place available to you:(.
