    A question pretty please.

I've just bought something from Tesco.com which hopefully will be ready to collect on Friday.

Inevitably it will come down in price before then so I am thinking about my strategy -weather to watch the price and order again if it does go down and then do a return on the first item.
or can you ring Tesco.direct and ask them to price match?

Is there any issues with Tesco.direct doing returns - you just go to the normal desk, not the CS one?

I rang up re printers we had about a month ago, (from advice from the elite:T)
All I said was - I understand that if a product goes down in price within 28 days after I have purchased it you give a refund on the difference is this right?
They then need you order number and name, then hey presto you have a refund.
I wish I had known about that a couple of weeks earlier as a fisher price toy I bought then had a price reduction of £10:eek: but I bought it longer than 28 days...never mind:(

I've got the new Morrisons collection information. I have accounted for all the items I need to - I have the pricing for them all (whether or not it's the real pricing). Just be careful on SP Mushy Peas - M equivalent now 20p - and SP Chocolate Mousse - M now 35p:eek:. Also the equivalent to SP Marrowfat Peas tin has gone up to 25p. Garden Peas are 21p however. Maybe the Irish Stew has increased in price in M too - I'll need to do my weight adjustments later to see if that's so. I don't know whether these are already off as I didn't do a price collection on Monday. So, that's all I come here with - I say 'be careful' but it's the pence items:rotfl:.

Pringles are off vs M - were £1 last week, now any 2 for £3:rotfl:. Robinsons Double Concentrate 1.25L are also off - were £1, now red background label £2:D. So, avoid those as well. The Jacobs Crackers for Cheese 900g are no longer on mbuy according to what I suspect from my two stores today. One of them still showing the mbuy offer but it says expiry 15th December, so I think this may work at the moment as it looks like they were 2 for £6 on Monday. If they ever picked up the M mbuy in the first place:rotfl:.

The Oreo Cookies are off, as we already knew. Now straight 50p. Also off are the Goodfellas Deep Pan pizzas (approx. 417g) - were £1, guess what they are now...? That's right: £2.47 and 2 for £4:rotfl:. So, a doubling in price there even if the mbuy is now bought. They say that the current pricing is on until 3rd January. So, diarise 4th January as the earliest possible date ever to consider buying them again in M!:rotfl:

More later, on the actual list!

(I'm not sure whether I've got much going onto the list - I probably have as I always collect lots of info. but I seem just to be remembering what's now expired/expiring. The Youngs Mariners and Admiral Pies will be next:rotfl:. They are currently still on 2 for £1, and are today, but their offer has expiry of 20th December. Only one I noticed where expiry seemed to be sooner. I'll be back later, as need to deal with RL things.)

I am wondering if anyone has had one of the Thorntons chocolate hampers and if so are they packed into what looks like a very large strong shoe box?

My eldest BF had a Thorntons chocolate hamper from work about 3 years ago (I think it was a present for the office not for personal consumption) and she gave me the empty box (sadly not the contents) - its very big, like a size 11 shoe box and very tough. I've used it every since for storing the wrapping extras - bow, ribbons, gift tags etc, both Christmas and birthdays etc so it lives behind the sofa

I am just wondering if I could find something similar to store Christmas cards in - at the moment there is a ludicrous amount of cards from previous sales which I need to seriously cull and just keep the bare minimum

OK, yes it would be a excuse to buy a silly amount of chocolate as well, I am so see through :rotfl: I did have a quick peek on their website but every item has a different offer and its very hard to compare them all and few of them have pictures of the outer boxes.
My only comparison is the Thorntons Ive got odd times from Home Bargains
Yes I would be eating all of the chocolate myself with OHs help with the minimum going for Christmas presents - I have no shame :D

A friend with an old iPhone that won't update is lucky enough to have an old version 02 Prioritee Movements which *doesn't* have the countdown clock. (Handy for popping back for another freebie).

I don't think IOS app files are interchangeable betweempn iPhones but it got me thinking about the Android version. Is anyone lucky enough to have a countdown-free Android version of app?

I have on my windows phone :)

    :(

Fortunately the Rehabilitation hospital has sent Dad to hospital to be better cared for as there is cause for concern - bloods still haven't come back & his blood pressure is very low

Will know more when Mum visits him this evening

Might mean I might not get my window seat in emergency exit (extra legroom) for free! :)

Because I guess BA has servers in different countries and somebody else will nip in.

I pride myself on checking us in 24 hours exactly before the flight - which is the earliest you can check in - and not paying for a prime seat, plus I'll move the kids somewhere close.

Not bleddy paying to reserve a seat

On some routes, frequented by business travellers who are more likely to have gold loyalty cards, you can be lucky to bag the exit row seats even months before.

3 seats in emergency exit row incl 2 windows + 1 in front for my daughter (too young for exit seats)

    Well done! Safe trip.

For future reference, I have the BA app on my phone and can sometimes check in through the app if the website is down.
