Just had a message from eldest son who is out in Japan with his GF.
Its his birthday tomorrow - he has not been home on his birthday for years as he was stationed abroad and again he is not home. Usually I've had to send the cards out at the end of November to make sure things arrived in time and this year I had a similar dilemma.
In November he messaged me their itinerary - apparently if you use booking.com they put your hotel bookings on a calendar so I worked out where they would be. I then wrote a note to put in the envelope for desk clerks at the hotel they are staying at for the next 2 nights, asking them to give him the card when he checked in and sent the note and card off (this was at the end of November before we went on holiday).
so they have just booked in and the desk clerk gave him the card I sent along with a hotel compliments card which says
Happy Anniversary :rotfl:
I can just imagine the !!!!!! gobsmacked look of bewilderment on his face :rotfl:
I don't think he has opened it yet as its not quite the 17th out there, probably get another message tonight when he opens it and finds a
Thomas the tank engine card
and I've added a 6 to the 2 at the top :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I tried the 5 x Phil cheese in T this morning. The BG thing worked fine but the dairy coupon was not accepted. My total dairy spend before BG was £13.50, so assume voucher applies after BG has come off? SA said it was because voucher is for T dairy products only.0

I think the B & M mince pies were only 50p for 6
was there a Greggs app freebie offer last year in December?
They were giving free festive bakes on the app in the last few weeks (possibly end of Nov as opposed to start of Dec)
Edit: it was middle of novemberCheck your Greggs reward accounts for a free festive bakeApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Were the phil cheese £2.40 each? As yesterday they were showing as half price when I looked so didn't try it.

Just had a proper look at the sainsburys till spits I got yesterday
OH also has spend £50 get 1000 this week on his mycoupons page so that's a good start
these are what we got
spend £50 get 1000 points - I expect this means I need to spend £50 on items and this one wont work for a £50 gift card?
spend £20 on linen and towels get 800 points - I got 4 of the basic bath towels before when double up was on so I will probably get the same again
spend £12.50 on petfood get 130 - 2 of these but the barcode looks the same
spend £20 on laundry, cleaning etc get 7p off fuel
and the usual triple points - 2 of these with different barcodes - will these work together?
so potentially 3086 nectar points - not too bad for a £50 shop
It would be good if I could get a brand match as well - maybe some laundry liquid of some sort is on offer in Sada and some of the bigger cat food boxes - any suggestions are most welcome“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I used one of mine on Activia and it worked just fine. Also people have been getting Lurpak with theirs, so it can't be that.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

I was just coming back to say exactly this. It really worries me when they are updating things“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
