UK to USA, Is a Visa Needed ?? (British Passport)
If you have a British Passport, and are a British Citizen
and want to go to the USA for just over 1 month,
then do you need to get a USA Visa on your passport?
Somebody said you don't but just need to apply for ESTA only.
Is that true? what is that, and by getting that (if granted)
does that mean you defiantly will get in the USA with Just the ESTAa and No visa??
Have you applied for this ESTA how is the process?

Yes you just need an ESTA, but you aren't guaranteed to get in, same as anywhere
apply here

Thanks
Do you mean you are not guaranteed to get 'accepted' once applied ?0 -
I mean immigration could turn you away for a variety of reasons, an ESTA doesn't bypass that.
If you have no criminal record etc you should have no problems though. don't be tempted to apply on a different site , that's the official site0 -
IF APPROVED, DOES MY TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION GUARANTEE ME ADMISSION TO THE UNITED STATES?

frequently asked questions
If your electronic travel authorization is approved, this approval establishes that you are eligible to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program, but does not guarantee that you are admissible to the United States. Upon arrival in the United States you will be inspected by a Customs and Border Protection officer at a port of entry who may determine that you are inadmissible under the Visa Waiver Program or for any reason under United States law.0 -
Is an ESTA needed by a person who already has a US visa in his passport0

Most of the advice already posted is accurate, but I would suggest you contact your Travel Agent or Airline to be sure !!!!0

and returning to the UK we might not let you come backNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

No: a British passport guarantees admission (although in extreme cases that might mean admission to a prison).
OTOH there can never be a guarantee of admission to the USA: your visa or ESTA entitles you to arrive there and apply for admission, where the officials decide.0
