Had rear ones changed today. But the car is very very slow to stop. I know they take a while to bed in. But never had this much slowness to stop. I've driven 8-10 miles and I can possibly feel a marginal improvement. The garage didn't take the car for a spin after changing them, so they are fresh new. I tried pressing the brake repeatedly too. I called the garage and they said they bled the system etx and nothing to worry about. Also when the ignition is on and I press the brake, I can hear air coming out of it. I don't know if it's normal and that I've not noticed it due to my current senses being heightened, or abnormal like an air leak? Doesn't happen when moving. Actual pedal is fine.

Take it back, and bang on the table. Something is clearly not right, and you could be endangering yourself and others. Hate it when patronising !!!!!!s in garages just fob you off with bull---t.0

Explain please ??? This doesn't sound right, but I've never heard "air" coming out of a brake - short of an artic with air brakes ?
As the previous poster said, simplest is to take it back to the garage that did the work and ask them to check it, but from your description it does sound very odd.0 -
Sounds like an air-leak at a servo vacuum pipe.
That will reduce the braking assistance so you would need to press the pedal harder.0 -

Annoyed how flippant they sounded a) when I drove back b) when I called them after. But when I called them He did say bring it back but this was 6pm so they would have had to stay open and I had plans I couldn't cancel. Tomorrow I'm working but luckily no motorway driving like I normally do. So gave to go Saturday. But I'll drop it and wait for them to do it there and then.
Maybe problem will subside tomorrow but never had this issue befure with a pad change.

It may just be very simple - some ham-fisted mechanic may have nudged a pipe loose when working around the brake-fluid reservoir.
Have a quick look - it may be possible to just shove the pipe back on tighter on the joint.
It'll be a black rubber pipe around 20mm diameter attached somewhere near the servo unit.0 -
OP, switch engine off, then pump brake pedal about 7/8 times till pedal goes hard, then keeping 1 foot pressed on brake pedal start engine, if pedal sinks a bit then servo is working ok, and not likely to be a air leak, as if it was sucking air in, engine would be running rough generally.ANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0

If the pads were changed without changing the discs, then the pads have to bed in for much longer.
