Issue with my Tax Credits

I could do with some advice. My Tax Credits stopped late November. I phone the Tax Credit Helpline and they told me I have to phone another number. The number they gave was 03000530859, it rings out no matter what time of the day you phone. Last week I sent a letter to Tax Credit Office in Preston. Paid extra for tracking the letter. They got it last Wednesday, but still have not heard from them. I have emailed my local Citizens Advice Bureau for advice. Can anyone else offer any other help? Thanks everyone.

Have you tried ringing very early such as 7:30am ish ?
Why did they stop your Tax Credits, have your circumstances changed?0 -
I don't think I have tried 7:30 am before. The only time I have not tried. They said they sent a letter at the beginning of October. I moved house at the beginning of October and forgot to update them.0

I hope I'm correct about contacting them so early...I'm sure I've seen other posts about phoning around that time... *fingers crossed!
Good luck x0 -

Hi, i wrote a letter to Preston a while back waited a week or so for a letter saying they need time to look into my letter.
I then waited 35 days for a reply.
Its is right about phoning early as a manager there leaves early before
4pm but starts early.
Hope this helps0 -

It's the helpline that opens just before 8. The number the OP has isn't for the helpline. It's for a person who can work any shift, be part time etc0 -

I hope you don't mind me asking, what was the final result? Did you get your tax credits back? Was it backdated? I tried phoning that number at 7:30 and 8:00 am this morning and nothing. Ringing out as usual. I don't know what to do!?0
