It's a tradition here to get both Radio Times & TV Times. OH likes to peruse both, I find it odd that she will read what's about to happen in the soaps only to then watch them. To me that's like skimming through the pages of a book and THEN reading the book. But my Mother does the same thing so its something I am used to.
I tend to just see what's on over Christmas that I am not likely to be watching, so could ague its a waste of money.....But as its a Christmas tradition.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Each November I sign up for the very MSE deal of 13 issues of Radio Times for £1.
It's tradition for us to circle/star which programmes we want to watch. I inherited this off my dad who loved to plan out the evening.
My son who is now 26 also loves to check the Christmas week issue despite being on the Internet 24/7 usually.

I wanted to get the Radio Times (just ran out of my 13 for £1 issues and they wont let me start a new one) but winced when I saw it cost £4!
DH adamant he is going to get a RT but I wont cough up that much. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

No. Never have, never will. What comes on comes on, if I get annoyed by something that comes on then I'll press the "next...next ...next" button until something less annoying comes on.0

don't you get a "free" christmas TV guide with the Sun newspaper tomorrow?0
-
I went to the newsagents to buy one the other day but could only see mags that went up to 18th December, so didn't get one. I never buy newspapers or magazines, but I do like to buy a Christmas TV guide, cause I like to read the articles. We have Sky so can also look for the next week or so too, but still like to buy the Christmas mag.0

Yes, we always get the Radio and TV Times.0

It used to be such a big thing in our house to get the double Christmas edition of the Radio Times and then go through to mark with your initials what you wanted to watch, democracy ruled and if there was a clash majority ruled.
I did get a bit excited when I saw them in the shop this week but resisted the urge to get them as it would just be for old times sake., Like everyone else I will be plotted everything on the tele box and hope that if anything clashes it records the thing that I really want to see.0
