Victorian Plumbing, worst customer services...ever!

I've got farrow and ball French gray paint too-it's definitely green not grey.
What's in a name?
Quite a lot actually when choosing paint colours. Different paint companies etc may use the name 'French Gray' and I can honestly say that when I googled it and looked through all the images shown they did vary slightly. At the end of the day, we all see colours slightly differently, but the fact is, I got a F&B colour chart and French Gray (Even though it may appear greenish) is one of the grey shades and my bath colour is one of the green shades.0 -
The French Gray on the Jig bath site doesn't seem to have a hint of green at all, to me it looks a beige/ Gray or I might just be imaging it.....on close up though it is definitely a shade of Gray....How complicated can one colour be?
Did you pay by credit card if so have you tried a Section 75 claim?
Thank you, this is the point I'm making, Victorian Plumbing should not have simply copied and be using these same images on their website as it is very misleading. What's the point in telling me after the fact that they don't use the colours shown in the images and that they are purely to show the style of bath and that the colours may vary slightly....they're cutting corners, they should use their own images, spend some of their money to photograph and show baths painted in their colours! Even their colour chart is of a poor quality and doesn't come close to matching the actual colour I received.
Yes, we did pay by credit card and are currently waiting for a decision from creditdisputes@rbs.co.uk with regards to Section 75. It's been dragging on for weeks though and we have no idea how our case is going. It's so frustrating and stressful too.0 -
If you put their French Grey next to another shade light or darker grey on their site the French Grey does look more green than grey...Our summer house is painted with F&B French Grey which also looks a greenish grey, F&B do say French Grey is more green than grey.
OP wouldn't it be less stressful if you accepted their offer of paint, it's a very easy job, that way you can get you bath up and running and hopefully in time for Christmas? You could be right about him having being supplied with the wrong colour, but looking at the French gray there , it's not dissimilar to the farrow and ball colour and to me ( maybe because I've got this in my living room) it's more green than grey-but probably only because I know the colour. Others probably would say it's grey. I think if you are buying an item from a colour chart on a screen its a big risk .The company would be advised to explain that French gray isn't grey or sent out a paint chart to the customer before purchase.
From someone who sells on eBay , I always try to put lots of other colours next to my item to show what the colour is really like.in fact the op could ask them to send a colour swatch of their French gray paint they have mixed directly to them to compare.
Ps their online reviews on trustpilot look fake to me.
I agree, they do look fake which is probably why they have such a good customer services score.
With regards to the green bath image above, after several conversations with several different customer service people, over several days (Each time I called I started as caller 20 something!) one girl actually told me and my husband (She was on speaker phone in our car at the time) that this was the actual bath I ordered, the actual colour, that's what she said, but when I sent them all the conflicting images showing the difference between my bath and a French Gray bath, she did a complete U-turn and denied ever saying it....they record all their phone calls for training purposes, I'm gutted that we didn't record this conversation.0
