Question on preferential payments issue of a DRO

Hi all,

I am just starting to research IVA, DRO etc and am looking into DRO as this seems like an option that I fit the criteria for.

I have been reading on this forum about you can't have shown a preference to a creditor - does this mean making a payment to a creditor when you haven't paid others? I think I have done this

I am on a DMP but have missed a couple of payments this year....I am pretty sure that I made a one off payment to one of my creditors for a loan. I may have done this last year too from memory

Not sure why - guess I just got bullied into it annoyingly

From what I am reading now- is a preferential payment either paying a creditor in full or making a payment to get the debt low enough to fit in the threshold for the DRO - if so then this doesn't apply to me?

Unlikely to be a preference, as was in the normal course of business without any desire to prefer to put them in a better position should you go into a DRO.
