Well, your point was very vague as your 'careful' reply was to the question:
Typically, links get created by joint mortgages and accounts, that isn't necessarily the case for spouses.
If the spouse is already financially linked then the OP's question is irrelevant. Along similar lines, we cannot kill something that is already dead.
Financially linked due to joint applications, yes. But not exclusively so. Say for example a spouse's income is included in family income in a credit application then the spouse is likely financially linked even though the credit application is not joint.0 -
You should probably ask for it to be removed. There's no financial link that's been produced there.
Thanks for the heads up but I removed the link a long time ago.It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Thanks all for the replies. We are not already linked financially, at least according to both of our experian reports, as we've never had joint accounts.
I'll go ahead and get the cards and see if there is any change in the experian report.0
