eBay Paypal payment question:

Until recently, as a buyer from eBay when I wanted to pay (by Paypal) I had a "Confirm And Pay" -type "button" which - when pressed - took me to a Paypal Logon page before payment was completed.
Much like paying by Paypal from any other retailer.
NOW (again from eBay) at "checkout" I get a few Paypal options on the left of the screen and on the right of the screen "Confirm And Pay".
Once I press "Confirm And Pay" it seems that payment is automatic; I do not log in to Paypal at all, the transaction is completed as soon as I hit that button.
(I do not save passwords OR cookies in my browser BTW.)
So please, how do I set eBay ( or Paypal ) to require a Paypal logon before payment is made in eBay?
Because the trouble is (as I have found out) this can lead to problems; eBay's "checkout" page has missed showing some payment options a few times for me now.
This has led to one (important) purchase being part-paid as an eCheque.
Paypal can't say why, other than that I must have asked for that option - which I most certainly did not.
(Please, no "request refusal" suggestions; I decided not to risk interfering with a moderately-valuable eBay voucher.)
So how can I set payment to need a Paypal logon?

You can unlink your Paypal account for purchases - Account, Paypal account - unlink accounts.
Also, try looking under (Account) Financial Information, to check you don't have Paypal saved as a checkout payment method.
My account is linked to Paypal but isn't saved, I get the normal login screen - although it is now integrated within ebay and I don't actually leave ebay but it comes as a pop-up.0 -

Thank you so much for that - THAT was the "bit" I was looking for. :j
Waded through a few pages of Google results & still didn't find that.
