Hi everyone,
I'm being driven mad by flea bites around my ankles, we boarded DS' cat for 3 weeks and seem to have been left with little visitors (they treated her with the spot de-flea stuff when she arrived so I have visions of the little b*ggers jumping off onto the carpet) although DH isn't being bothered. We had dogs for over 30 years and never had this problem so any advice would be gratefully received.
I didn't make the mince pies yesterday for the social because I developed a stomach bug and decided I didn't want to act as Typhoid Mary to the mostly elderly group of people there. I got DH to buy some and drop them off on the way home.
Luckily it seems t have been a short lived thing because I have to take an old lady to the local school to the OAP Christmas dinner the sixth form put on every year.

I had intended to do some hand sewing this morning - shorten voile curtain for one dd and start a patchwork cushion for another but can't seem to get motivated.
Going to nip out for ingredients for chicken and veg soup and a few bits and bobs. DD comes round tonight to drive us for the weigh in.

Don't even think of going outside if you feel that poorly. Be as good to yourself as you are to everyone else.
I forget to bring the washing in yesterday as it got dark so soon and it rained like mad.

You could try asking at a pet shop for something to treat carpets etc. I got something online a while ago for dd's student room and it worked well.

Afternoon all, sorry for the late greetings - mental morning in work so I'm just taking a quiet five minutes (emphasis on quiet) to check in.
I'm covering about 100 miles today for work. Never mind, breaking up for Christmas next week
Hope you're all well, I'm really sorry to hear about those of you who struggle to sleep. Insomnia is a beast isn't it? Please, please look after yourselves, especially MrsLW x
Snoozer: have you asked your vet for home flea treatment? I use Efipro - make sure you do your skirting boards though the little creatures loveit in there.
And I've been inspired by those of you who've made pizza. Guess what's for tea tonight lolBack in the red :mad:

My favourite carol... I have a problem singing as a child but i can sing out of tune no problem.

Snoozer Best to buy flea treatment for the carpets etc from a vet - it will be dearer, but the ones you can buy at a pet shop don't work nearly so well. HTH0

:hello: Good afternoon everyone,
tru I love this carol, thank you
Mrs LW I hope you feel better soon.
Sorry to hear of all those having trouble sleeping. I wish I could have more sleep, I'm exhausted. DH is not getting in from his job until really late, last night it was after 10pm and we are up at 6.30am. This will continue right through the weekend as well, so not sure when I will catch up. At least I only have next week at work.
I must start my Christmas shopping, as I have done nothing so far:eek:
DS and DD are home and since I got in from work this afternoon all I have done is look on here, so I must get up and do something, like make dinner and all the usual household chores.
Have a good evening everyone. x.SPC 11 #4450 -
Good evening chums, busy day today , got my 'big food shop' from Lidl's this morning. I was there at 9.00a.m. and whipped around, and was out and back home by 10.00a.m.
Then my sis-in-law from Faversham arrived at 11.00 and we had a good natter and some lunch.I donated a pair of trainers to her that were too small for me.She has a little part-time job at a cafe on her local golf club so they will be useful when standing around all day as they have 'memory foam' inserts. Bless her she gave me a mini Christmas cake that she makes me very year as I am the only one who likes Christmas cake in the family
Just have a few odds and ends to wrap and my Christmas stuff is done and dusted. No trailing around the shops for me getting pushed and shoved
Hope everyone has a good evening
Cheers chums
