Xbox from EU

Been trying to buy an Xbox360 from the obvious places in the UK for my son for Christmas this evening but everywhere is either out of stock or charging sill money by bundling with games I don't want. My question therefore is can I buy one from Germany or France as I have found they are about 50 quid cheaper? Obviously I'll probably need a plug adapter but other than that is there anything else I need to consider? Will I need to change language settings etc? Or will that all take care of itself when connected to my WiFi?
Any suggestions of who to buy from other than Amazon?

from what i have been hearing on another forum if you buy from amazon.de or amazon.fr then you have a good chance of getting it sent from the UK warehouse
only downside of getting from the continent is that the games will more than likely the language of the country so any resale value will be lost

different plug yes but you can pick these up from places like CPC for a couple pounds or less and on initial set up change langauge settings as you would normally
