How much would 'Mass Scanning' A4 Paper cost? (just as photocopying is 10p per A4) ?

As photocopying a black and white A4, to make a copy of it, it usually costs 10p in shops.
When you want to mass 'scan' a4 papers into a scanning machine, (from a shop who provide the service)
then do you know how much should be expected to be paid, to scan 100 a4 pages ?
this is for the company to feed in the papers, and scan them, and save them onto a USB stick provided.
Have you done this before?
Which shops would provide this service ??

£50 at a guess
It must be me that doesn't fully understand your question.
Have you got 100 sheets of A4 you want to be scanned , and then for them to be stored on a USB stick. Let's say 45 seconds per sheet, that's 75 minutes, plus setting up the ability to create the files on the usb oh add time for making sure the copies are done correctly, plus VAT...buy a scanner /MFP4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Unfortunately most copying shops are idiots and will charge you 10p a page. So £10.
If I had high street store I would charge you 50p for it. Provided the documents are single sided, staples all removed and no creases on the paper you can do a bulk scan/copy by placing documents on a feed and the printer will automatically scan the pages one by one.
If it's double sided it's doable. Just put them through twice and use a tool like pdfsam to collate the pdf documents so the pages are in the correct order on the pdf.
I had 3 arch lever files full of ancient bank statements and other fun stuff and I did a bulk scan and put them all on USB and shredded the paper copies0 -

So wrong, read above. A good MFP can automatically feed pages 1 at a time and scan all the pages fr you. about 5 seconds per page and produces a single pdf document with all the pages in order. My entry level office printer that's 8 years old does this.0 -
If you want to do this on a regular basis or want to go totally paperless and digitize all previous paper file then buy an Fujitsu IX500 A4 document scanner.
They are fast.
Duplux scanner so both sides of the page scanned at the same time.
Scans to searchable PDF or to word/excel etc with included OCR package.
Feed rate is around 1 physical sheet per second so an effective scan rate of 0.5 sec per page side.
Input holder holds up to 50 sheets at once.0 -
It wont cost the printer anything to do it , so in theory they should just cost their time. (they probable wont though)
Any decent photocopier will do the job in a couple of minutes.
You will have to specify wether you want it saved as individual pdfs or one big one.WWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0 -
Where abouts are you katesheet ?
If you are near me I could do it for you, Im a copier engineer so it would not be a problem.WWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0 -
it would depend where you get it done.
Where I work, scanning is a minimum £2.50. you can have 5 pages for that. additional pages £0.50
So in this instance debitcardmayhem is correct £50.00.0 -
Probably free in the local library if you feed the papers in yourself - they might have a flatbed scanner for you to use, or let you use their multifunction device if they have one with a sheet feeder.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
