I need a PDA for my new position, and have looked at Palm Tungsten, but some adverse comments put me off.
Can anyone advise me on a decent good value PDA, please?

I have the Palm Tungsten E, and it is the best thing i have ever bought, especially as it was a tenner off eBay!
I wouldn't recommend the Zen though.0 -
Ive been useing windows mobile based devices for years with few problems, total compatibility with microsoft outlook and other office applications. the other thing with it being windows based it is youshould be able to pick it up and use with very little difficulty.
If a PDA is somthing you need for work get your company to provide it.0 -

I've been using Dell Axims for years, currently the X51v 624Mhz. It's a Windows Mobile based device, not a patch on the iPhone or iPod Touch, but it's good at what it does!
It won all the recommended awards in the Tech mags when I purchased it 2 or 3 years ago. It's very fast, powerful, decent battery life, and has a high-res 640x480 screen on the 3.7" display. Although normal software only displays at the standard 320x240, but there are plenty of patches on the internet and special software. It sync's perfectly with Outlook on the PC (you can get it to work with the Mac, but it's a faff, there are much better Mac compat devices out there). It has built in Bluetooth, WiFi, both a CF and SD slot, 64Mb RAM built-in and a 624Mhz processor. I use a bluetooth GPS receiver with it in the car, for Tom Tom, and that saved buying another device. The TomTom maps go in the SD slot and I have a large memory card in the CF slot for documents etc.
I'm not sure if Dell still sells this high-powered version (PDAs are going out of fashion), but I know they sell a 416Mhz X51 (not the X51v) for a couple of hundred pounds.0 -
I have never bought one. I get orange to give them to me for nothing. I pay enough on my phone bill each month so when I say I'm leaveing they give me the phone I want.0
