satellite 2 from 1

hi all, i know the basic answer is Dual lnb but is there anyway i can run more that one satellite receiver of one sat cable from my dish ?

    No, not unless the users of both tuners want to watch channels on the same multiplex, all the time. The problem is that the tuner "drives" the LNB - in effect telling it to tune in to a specific multiplex. As soon as this happens on one tuner, the other will lose signal.

    Last time I looked, Quad LNBs were actually cheaper than Dual!
  • You need a dual (quad, etc) LNB to watch separate multiplexes, but you can run two LNB outputs down one cable using a stacker/destacker at each end if the cable is short enough and good quality.
