Twin beds or Double?

Only been abroad once (Holland last year and stayed at a friends) but i am wanting to book something for October for me and my OH.
Been looking on a few sites at package deals, not too fussed where we go, but when looking at details of the hotels, some say they have double and twin bedded rooms (ie: 2 single beds in the same room)
How can you guarantee getting a room with a double bed?
Obviously me and OH would want a double bed for 'you know what' :cool:

You could request a room with a double bed - but you'll have a lot more room to do whatever in the twin beds

In hotels that have good websites that describe each room and you are actually booking that room, these do tend to be non-package holiday hotels.

If you get twin beds, just lie across them widthways or diagonally

I'm going away with to Lanzarote with OH in 6 weeks (without the kids!:D ) and I think we will have twin beds (again!).....ah well......there's always the bathroom/living area/kitchen etc
