Is Wokingham a nice place to live?

  • I live in Kent, but my office is based in Bracknell. I've lived in Wokingham and Bracknell. Wokingham is nicer, but there's nothing wrong with Bracknell. Lots of large companies for jobs etc, and just as easy to get to the M4 and M3. Bracknell is cheaper than Wokingham house price wise.

Depends what you can afford really.

I live near Wokingham. If you are commuting one of the cons is the train service to London which is slow with lots of stops and only two trains per hour for most of the day. It is around an hour to Waterloo compared to under 30 minutes Reading to Paddington with a more frequent service.

I knew someone from there who pronounced it in 2 syllables, which is quite a trick. You should practice.

If you're coming from London you wouldn't go there!
It's more the sort of place you'd go to from elsewhere.
