Nationwide Positive Balance

in Credit cards
Hello,
Just paid my Nationwide card in full (I dont need congratulating!) however I am about to get a refund onto the card which will put it £70 odd into a positive balance.
How do Nationwide deal with this? Do they send a cheque for the difference or just allow me to spend 'for free' until I have used it up?
Thanks.

Either spend it, or ask them to refund it to you.0

You have not intentionally put the card into positive balance, which would surely be against their T&Cs, so there should be no need to worry.Evolution, not revolution0

Indeed. Last month I had a £1427 balance on a Sainsburys card, so i did a balance transfer to a 0% MBNA card. Two weeks later Sainsburys still took the full £1427 via the direct debit, putting me £900 pounds in credit. It didn't seem to bother them, and I'm now spending the credit this month without issues. You have not intentionally put the card into positive balance, which would surely be against their T&Cs, so there should be no need to worry.0 -
