  • Well, made the decision to cancel. Decided the risk wasn't worth it. Refund issued and buyer reported. Thanks everyone for your advice.
  • Buyer reported for what? Trying to buy your item?

I would not send this by Royal Mail Special Delivery as if you get scammed, you'll lose the postage. So if you decide to post (and I'd cancel this) send it by DPD or UPS as as least is will be less to send.
I'm surprised at this comment as I have found RM SD to be ultra reliable. I've never needed to claim for SD but for other RM claims they are easier to deal with than other carriers. Some have huge lists of exclusions and may not cover a used electronic item at a

If RM doesn't deliver they will cover the loss including what you paid for sending it. If you have tracking and have complied with Paypal/Ebay requirements they would cover the loss.

    You mis-understand.

I didn't recommend RMSD as it would cost 26.60 to send it - bearing in mind if a scam attempt is made Ebay will refund the buyer ALL the money. So if the seller had decided to send, I was simply suggesting a cheaper way to get a 2kg+ parcel to the buyer.

It's about minimsing financial losses, not saying the Royal Mail would lose the parcel. Royal Mail do not lose RMSD items.

wherever you do sell it make sure you record the serial number (photos etc) as a common scam is to claim its not working or not as described then return a ringer to you.
