Time to stop being Dreamy!

Pay day today and finances still looking good. £301 put away for stepchange, and I now have £160 in savings. I hae approx £170 to last the month to include food top ups, electric and petrol.
1p a day savings coming on nicely.

Order of the day.......
re arrange the furniture in the lounge as its blocking the radiators so need a move around. Also need to buy a door curtain and a curtain pole so I can hopefully stop the draft coming up the stairs from the kitchen.
Take stock of what is in freeze and create a meal plan.
Top up electricity
Start on mount washmore!

Managed to get a door curtain for free yay! Still need to get a curtain pole but that is a job for tomorrow. All direct debits have now gone out and all bills paid. I have £100 to last till Feb so very much on track. Savings now stand at £235 and whatever is left from this months budget will be transferred over. 1p a day challenge looking good. Already paid 86 days in and most of that is for the larger amounts. Tips still going into another sealled pot so all is good at the moment. I just may be able to afford a holiday this year

Ive also shuffled hours around at work as it is very quiet at the moment but it means I get a better work/home life balance and im now able to do things that dont tend to get done. I feel a lot better for it and not as anxious. The bonus being that I havent lost any hours Ive just rejigged the rota and everyone is happy.

Not updated for a few days but things ticking along nicely. Not much to report really. Everything is on track and council tax will be paid off on first Feb so will leave me an extra £180 in March to throw at something else. Managed to throw some more into savings so that now stands at £280 and I have £65 left to last me till the end of the month. Only needed to do top ups for bread and milk as I have enough in the freezer to avoid doing another shop for at least another week. It was so worth buying a sack of potatoes and vegetables in bulk.

Well that was a close one! Today is a wet windy and dismal day so I thought id cheer myself up looking for holidays.I decided I would open my money pot and see if I had enough for a holiday deposit only something had other ideas .My sealed money pot which is almost full wont open with the tin opener I have....I think its trying to tell me something! It's days like this you just wanna spend money but savings said NO haha x Lucky escape for me

I have my old car sitting on the drive. It needs an MOT but I cant be bothered with the expense or hassle of getting it done.......SO im gonna sell it spares or repair and IF i get £250 I shall be happy. I also have a 6ft pool table which noone uses any more so that can go too! Ebay or local selling page.......hummm decisions decisions

Ive got the morning off work and im spending it sat indoors waiting for the electric man to come and install me a smart meter, The sun is shining and the sky is blue. Been out to feed the chucks and it doesnt seem that cold.......Is Spring on the way or is it going to go cold again who knows, i dont think Mother Nature knows either!

The last of this months direct debits has gone out Gas £45.......All is looking good and im going into February with a positive balance and a small stash of savings. This is a first for a long long time!

Debt now stands at £3513.43 YAY go me its coming down!

Slowly slowly wins the race! Council tax has now been paid! YAY Only a few more direct debits to go out this month which are accounted for and I have £119 left of my shopping budget but will only need to do milk and bread top ups. Hopefully I shall be able to put £100 of that into my savings account. I have been doing the 366 penny savings all rather randomly but today I counted it up and I have over £175 saved already!:j
