Hi all
This may be a long shot but can anyone recommend a graphics card for the Asus m2n-mx se plus motherboard?
I used to build computers years ago but haven't done much for a while and now I'm a little out of touch, can anyone recommend a graphics card that would handle gaming aswell as some animation work on maya plus photoshop editing? Many thanks

Photoshop doesn't need anything special. It's fine with onboard. What sort of games? What resolution screen will you run? Will the games be run at full res? Will the games need all the qulaity settings at max? What processor are you going to use?0

If I remember correctly it's an amd 6400+ processor, I think the psu is 600w
I've given the computer to my brother and he wants to upgrade the graphics card. I think he wants the best graphics card he can get for around £100 but I'm confused now looking online at the different cards available. Things move on so quickly0 -
for that price range you may be able to pick up a gtx 950....if not a 750ti or....ebay a second hand one.0

Id suggest a GTX960/Amd 370/80x if your not a hardcore gamer0

I know how you feel, the naming conventions change every time they release a new product! Plus they constantly re-badge old chips and release them as new products. It's a minefield.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

If you dont mind second hand, you may be able to find a GTX770 for around £100.
or an AMD HD7970, might be another option0 -
Thanks for the replies. Are things still like they used to be I.e a 950 isn't necessarily better than a 750?
Will have a look at the above cards this evening0 -
you may find this handy...

GTX 950 is better than GTX 750 ti.
However, my concern will be if new video card being bottlenecked by CPU, which i don't really have a clue.
6400+ is quite old...
May be it is time for new CPU & mobo0
