Good Morning everyone, what a lovely day we had yesterday and what chaos is a half packed up home two weeks before moving!!! Bless DD she's so stressed but I know her capabilities and it will all be done in good time. Zebra is a continuing source of delight, we played, read books, coloured pictures in, played chase and he was fascinated when He Who Knows was shampooing the carpets through the flat, kept saying 'Oma help!' and taking me to watch, we let him try to push the machine but it was much too heavy so we just watched. Best bit of the day was when they popped out to finalise some paperwork with the Solicitor and left him with me and I got him down for his nap, he had his milky laid in my arms and drifted off to sleep, such precious moments are treasured!!!
Today we're popping across to L*dl for some nice things for Christmas including a Goose breast joint which DD1 has requested, we always had goose when we lived in Germany and she's getting nostalgic! They do have some very nice 'treat' things in too at affordable prices so I'll pick up just a few goodies for when we are all together on boxing day which will be so nice.
House is clean and tidy, all I have left to do is a little ironing from when I was away and then we're off to the quiz with my brother and DSIL this evening, fab!!!
Have yourselves a really nice day folks, we have beautiful sunshine and blue sky I hope many of you do as well, Lyn xxx.0 -

Good morning all,
It is beautiful here this morning, we popped into town and bought the turkey crown, so that is in the freezer, a few chocs for DD stocking and a chocolate gateaux for boxing Day. I already have the gammon in the freezer, so just beef to buy now.
Went for a carvery yesterday with 2 sisters and BILs, our get together before Christmas. It is always difficult for us to be together at Christmas because of course we all have families. It was very enjoyable, lots of chattering and then we came home.
Left some washing in the machine before we went out so must sort that out now.
Have a good day all

Morning all,
no updates from the Baby House as yet but Joshua seems to feeding little and often. His bowel movements are a bit rare though i'm told. Come on little man! He's down for exploratory surgery on his digestive system/bowels next week if he doesnt improve.
I need a kick up the bum today. Amazing how one negative thought can turn into lots.
Deleted_User glad your feeling a bit better. As for your blood pressure, yes it does vary. It is usually at its highest first thing on a morning and generally lowers throughout the day (so i was told). It can vary too if your too hot.
Onwards and forwards

I made it to Tarbert and back in one piece, only just though as the new storm started five minutes before I locked the place up to head home. On the way I stopped to pick up a few extra essentials, butter, milk and eggs, just in case the weather gets worse. The rain is now hammering at the windows and the wind is very high. the woodburner is on the smallest amount of air intake and it's blazing away. With each huge gust I can see the flames blowing around, there shouldn't be so many flames on a good fire but if I close the secondary air source anymore it'll be closed off.
Teaching session was much better than last week - we did search engines and searching. Once they found the live map of the worlds' shipping they were fascinated and so we spent ages on the site. Even found the QE2 cruising from Dubai to Odessa and a NATO warship docked at Faslane.
I've had some egg mayo on sourdough and am just wasting a few minutes on here before unpacking a couple of my deliveries.
I hope eveyone is snug and cosy.0 -
Lovely dry day here with a good breeze, managed to get all the washing done and dried on the line, just airing it off in front of the stove
I want to get all the beds changed next week and have a good clean ready for Christmas, DD and her BF will be home so they can help. DS has lots of Uni work to do so I will leave him alone, but he can do his usual jobs (washing up, garden poop patrol, walking the lodger and putting the bins up, he can sort his own room when he is ready. If they want to live in s**t they can, just keep the door closed.
I got two large turkey breasts reduced to 50p in the co-op tonight so I am doing a turkey and mushroom pie with roast potatoes and runner beans, we still have loads that we grew this year, about 15lbs still to go, but I am not complaining. I hope the brussels and parsnips will be ready, if not I will have to buy some.
Got nearly everything food wise, just need the fresh stuff now, so I will drop my order off at the greengrocer, then all I have to do is pick it up on Christmas Eve. I just need to pick MIL's garden voucher up from the nursery.
For anyone who wants to help the people in Cumbria, the Daily Mail Christmas appeal is collecting for them.

Christmas party went well and I got to take the table poinsetta home which I gave to my youngest DD to brighten up their sitting room I shall be spending more time there than in my own home for about a week.I have just done my shopping list to do my odds and ends of shopping tomorrow ,as I am away for the last week of the month my shopping bill will be pretty low for December I am hoping to do one shop and that's it for the rest of the month.
Tomorrow I have my sis-in-law from Faversham coming for a couple of hours at lunchtime, so that will be nice to see her and have a natter.
Still quite mild at the moment but too damp to hang the washing out so I have it drying on the airer in the kitchen
have a good evening chums what ever you are doing
