Incomplete Experian Credit Report
typos1
I recently ordered the £2 credit file from Experian. When i got the letter through the post I logged in and downloaded my report. Despite me having 8 odd credit cards, 5 odd bank accounts and a mortgage, not to mention a monthly mobile phone contract and all my utilities, the report contained 1, just 1 entry from one credit card, a "Generic Identity Check" search by Experian and NOTHING else, nadda, nowt, zero, zilch !! How can this be ? I ve ordered credit reports before and theyve been pages and pages, this is just 1 actual page, a covering letter and 4 pages of "guide and advice". Surely theve messed up somewhere ? I also note how little they give you if you dont want to spend £15 a month (really are they serious ? - what a total waste of £180 a year - surely no one on this forum is stupid enough to fall for that TOTAL rip-off ?) - you cant get proper customer service and they take ages to respond.

I would suggest that you contact Experian, advise them of the situation and see what they say.0

Some obvious things to check are those here: http://www.experian.co.uk/blogs/consumer-advice/credit-report-missing-information-tips/
However, as said, if there is information missing that was there before and still should be based on the same input data, then may be a more serious glitch that needs querying.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi Typos1
I understand that your statutory report does not contain the information that you were expecting.
When we send a statutory report it will have all the information that we hold in your name at the addresses that were supplied in the application.
In some cases if variations of name or address have been used it can stop the information being retrieved.
I can get your report checked for you and make sure that you have all the information that we hold, please email your full name, date of birth and address, along with the report reference number (if you have this) to me, and I can take a look at this.
Kind regards

Thanks, email sent. I ve viewed my credit report several times before and never had this problem, I do recall the reports having a few different "versions" of me with minor differences, such as one with a coma between my flat number and building number and one without etc, but ALL variations were listed on the reports I had previously. I would expect ALL "variations" of me to be included in the £2 report just as they were in the £15 a month report.0

Update. Experian sorted it out - it turned out to be a problem with the slight diferences in how some companies have spelt/arranged my address as I suspected above. As I also said above ALL variations were on my report when using the more expensive option. The cynics among us might suggest that Experian do this on purpose as youre only spending £2. Was very pleased with the speed they sorted it out having read my post here, much less pleased that I have to wait a week to get a new code to be able to view the report that I purchased a nearly MONTH ago for reasons TOTALLY out of my control.0

I had a similar problem with Experian and it was all down to a variation in my address because I live in a flat so have a flat number and name and a road number and name. I emailed after posting the details on this site and was very impressed as it was sorted out within a few days. Unfortunately I spotted another error and phoned them and now rather than fix my problem they have messed my file up even more and removed my EE account. ARGHHHH !!! I sent a lengthy email today and am just hoping it ends up in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. My experience with Experian is that some of the people are very good but others (the phone people) just don't seem to understand the issues. I agree it is annoying to have to wait to view the statutory report. With both Equifax and Callcredit it is visible online straight away.0

Just noticed it was Neil from Experian who responded to your post and it was Neil who sorted out my report before someone else messed it up again. Let's hope he never leaves
