So then we move onto what the SOGA.
Passage of time is an issue here for you!
Your going to have to get a report done at your expense at a qualified repair techs shop (not cheap) as he MAY also have to turn up at court ALSO most are reluctant to ad their name to such reports never mind turn up at court to back up his report, all this to find out it MAY or MAY NOT be what you were hoping for in that its a manufacturers defect, or corrosion to the motor/wires through poor storage.
Whats the cost of a new leaf blower or simple repair VS the cost of court plus engineer tech report, and his fee for attending court if need be?
Personally I would put it down to a life experience of not to by that brand again and invest in something that has good reviews, good durability and longevity.
seriously bosch used to be pretty decent products, but the last 15years or so they become a "get me by" brand where if your good one fails you have that one to get on with till you replace it.
Ive thrown god knows how many strimmer and mowers away after only 1 years use out of them.

Two of some decent entry level leaf blowers, maintenance is pretty low at a indy service shop, Plugs gasgets, new heads etc. I paid £45.00 for a new 4 stroke head on a similar product INC fitting and new plug leads and pull chord at my local chainsaw repair shop.
You claim Bosch is a get you by brand and then recommend McCulloch?0 -

I've not had a problem with mowers but as for strimmers, I've yet to find a mains powered one that lasts more than a year or one which has a cutting cord that doesn't either break every minute, keeps getting jammed or is an auto-feed system that is anything but automatic.0 -
McCullock, had a petrol strimmer, threw everything at it including a field!! it took it then some, strimmer cost £140.00, service yearly for £10.00 and petrol and 2 stroke cost me around £25.00 for the season!! bosch the "get me by" has been used all of 5-6 times since new in 2014, the last use the auto feed clips failed and the strimmer line chopped off the strimmer head guard! the central joint screw come loose after every use requiring tightening, the quality between bosch and mccullock is night and day.You claim Bosch is a get you by brand and then recommend McCulloch?
Id rather a aldi strimmer over bosch!!0 -
I know Ryobi are not the best brand in the world, but my experience with my Grandmothers one that was used every other week from early spring till nov this year with no faults, get my vote! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ryobi-OLT1831S-Cordless-Trimmer-EasyEdge/dp/B00HUX5E1A/ref=sr_1_1?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1449658232&sr=1-1&keywords=ryobi+grass+trimmershaun_from_Africa wrote: »I've not had a problem with mowers but as for strimmers, I've yet to find a mains powered one that lasts more than a year or one which has a cutting cord that doesn't either break every minute, keeps getting jammed or is an auto-feed system that is anything but automatic.

McCulloch (spelt as per your link) is low end stuff and their quality is far below Bosch. They're cheap and that's why you find them on shopping channel deals.0 -
