Printer not printing

Options
I went to use my printer the other day and it didn't print out for me, I did every thing as usual and was wondering if the ink has run out ( or dried out as I don't use it that much )as it made all the usual noises when normally working.

On one of my ink cartridges it had a ? on but tried to print out in colour and nothing happened.

any advice. Oh by the way I got them refilled by the cartridge shop in town, would this have anything to do with

What make/model of printer is it?

Some cartridges have chips on them to detect refills, so they won't work any more. I'd have thought the cartridge shop would have known this, but you never know...

  • It's a lexmark X5260. Yes it does have a chipped cartridge and it did work when I got them refilled. Its just baffling me. Maybe not using it for a while has caused them to dry out - what do you think?

Don't know why I had the ? on the ink levels when pretending to print
