My Amazon Christmas present

We're heading overseas the week before Christmas so I've been stocking up at the Amazon fulfillment centre for late Christmas sales.
Last week I sent ten cases, all were delivered and checked in yet two cases were not opened. I assumed there was a backlog so held on for a couple of days then complained.
It hasn't happened before so had no idea what would happen, if I'd need receipts, cost prices, etc to prove a claim. They just emailed saying stock was considered lost and I was being reimbursed in full. So two weeks of stock paid for in one go returning me the full amount. If I could send them a couple of boxes a week to lose I can retire by Easter!

Well done Amazon for such excellent customer service. If that was EBay it would probably end up being your fault and you would receive a defect
Hope you're heading somewhere warm. Have a great time. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

True about Ebay, one thing that continually bothered me was poor customer service for those they should have been able to see were good sellers.charlies_mum wrote: »Well done Amazon for such excellent customer service. We're eeing family in the US, the weather there is hit and miss this time of year, so could be wonderful, might not. I'll be glad of a little break. Still got a crazy few days ahead so not there yet..0 -
Dont celebrate just yet, I'm sending just under 600 cases a week to Amazon at the moment.
Things got lost on each shipment so I open a case like you did, then 3 weeks later I get another email saying they found it and charge me again.
Sometimes they just sell it themselves when they find it other times they just charge you.
Also if you loose too many they start to think you are telling porkies about how many you are sending and so they remove your FBA privlidges.0 -
I wondered about that, I had assumed they would find them eventually. I'm not too bothered if they charge me or sell them, it's 99% year round selling stock. I'd actually sent a load of Christmas stuff in the same batch but that was checked in really quickly, so I've been pretty lucky. I can only begin to imagine the volume of stuff that they have to go through.Dont celebrate just yet, I'm sending just under 600 cases a week to Amazon at the moment.

They switched fulfilment centres on me and I've had countless problems from this one and never had any from the other..0
