It depends somewhat when you think you will need the money, but I would recommend keeping a "comfortable" (e.g. 6 months living expenses) amount in cash and then the rest into a stocks and shares ISA.
My own current setup is that I have £9500 in current accounts (Nationwide, Club Lloyds, TSB Classic, Halifax reward) earning 5.1% and £1400 in the Halifax HTB ISA earning 4%. The rest of my money is invested in a stocks and shares ISA. Of any money I save each month, £200 goes to the HTB ISA and the rest into the S&S ISA.
If you don't want to invest in S&S then you are probably best off opening three of each of the accounts above (with your partner) to stash away up to £28,500 at 5.1% earning up to £1400 a year. It also sounds like it is worth keeping a Santander 123 account for the cashback, which appears to exceed the £5 fee in your case.0
