Or the person traded it in with the MIL light on as it would not pass a TFL Inspection with a MIL on.

If you further analyse the MOT history it was MOTed on 22 August but the MOT expired on 1st September.

If the car had not had a previous MOT I didn't think you could have longer than 12months MOT as there was no previous MOT expiry date just a date when the vehicle requires one.

An diesel S Class that does 49k in three years then 3k in six months?

It doesn't ring true and when it comes to expensive purchases such as cars for £30k+ you need to be suspicious of everything.

Let's not forget the poor paint.

Another sign of an ex Chauffeur car, but not typical of a regular owner of a recent S Class, especially since most new ones are leased.

If you think it was such a good buy why not get it for yourself.

Personally if I wanted an old shape S Class I would pay £20k or so for 12plate at CarGiant.

You can present the car within 30 days of the three year mark so it's only had two mots. No evidence of your private hire from the mot history.

Did I say it was a good buy? No, just your claim of it being a private hire isn't evidenced from the mot history.
