My dad was a taxi driver and he did 200k in 3 years in a newish Vauxhall Vectra.
Taxis are serviced regularly and I would buy a former taxi
And what's a service consist of? Oil and filter changes, meanwhile the running gear is like a 20 year old car. Not to mention punters being sick or worse in the back.
I think you're in a minority willingly buying an ex taxi.0 -
Taxi drivers rely on their cars for their income and so they are very well maintained0

Discovered there is a service stamp in the book from main Ford dealer earlier in 2008 at 35k - it seems the DVLA have a lot to answer for! Grrrr0

Personally i think a Galaxy wouldnt stand that mileage it would have fell to bits long ago, easy signs of high mileage are shiny steering wheels pedal rubbers worn, door hinges worn so when you open the door it drops etc I cant see it doin that mileage i reckon its a error0

Thanks so much everyone. I mean it would have done over 400k by now if it were the case, and I don't think a new wheel and chair would be able to disguise that to be honest. Feeling much better now.0
