Hi,


Just a quick question! Does anyone know if loans.co.uk were regulated before 2005?


The reason I am asking is because I am currently awaiting a decision with regards to a miss sale of mppi .

As far as I am aware, they would only have been covered by The Mortgage Code.

Although this included advice on ancilliary insurance, the standards required were far less stringent so even if FOS looked at it, the chances of an uphold are low - even by the standards of MPPI as a whole, which is far more likely to be rejected than other forms of PPI.

Okay well at least that something I guess!


The reason I was asking is because I have some loans spread over that period, some before 2005 and some after and I am awaiting a decision at this time. The main reason being was the fact that the insurance was sold as a lump sum on top of the original loan. I am and was receiving a large NHS pension and on blood pressure tablets which I was told would not effect the insurance.


All in all do you think I have a good case for all of the loans to be upheld in my favour!
