A fascinating but sadly untrue and rather ironic accusation, given that the 'PTS OP' and the 'Flyertalk OP' both chose not to share this deal with MSE, despite using (and no doubt benefitting from) this forum to varying extents.

Only actually managed 5 brackets and 1 DVI cable in my local Tesco and then only because I got a call and a text message about this from the missus whilst I was out shopping. She'd been on Flyertalk looking for new ways to increase our BA Miles (currently 120,000). Posted on here as soon as I got home. Tescos is my corner shop, so I posted within minutes of finding out.


The 20 brackets thing was unfortunately a joke. I wish! I must stop feeding the trolls like that.

1 bracket or 100 brackets - the points probably won't materialise anyway

If the points don't appear and we end up all taking these back, at least I only need to take two brackets back - the other three are now holding monitors to the wall.

By Flyertalk OP I assume you are referring to me.

As you can see I have been a member here for a long time and post regularly in the Travel section. However MSE voucher forums have become increasingly rude and greedy and as a consequence I have no qualms in admitting that I did not put it on MSE.

I really do not think Martin meant for MSE to become some corporate killer driven by people driven by greed. Maybe MSE is suffering from it's own success.

One thing is for sure, it is certainly not the community it once was and this sense of community is better replicated at PTS and Flyertalk.

This isn't an MSE vs PTS thing so I wish you would stop making it out to be so.

Look, no one on PTS liked it when Withabix went over and commented on your 'glitch' thread, and were quite annoyed that word of it spread to MSE.

I stuck up for him as all he had done 'wrong' was not mention PTS in his opening post.

If PTS'ers don't like it here at MSE then don't bother logging in... but of course, you all want to come over here as this is where you all got your latest 1000 points code from wasn't it ... and other latest codes.

Now we here are a friendly bunch and we share and share alike ... but selfish posters who take offers, yet never feel the need to share their own are the greedy ones, not the MSE'ers.

So really I'm just sticking up for this forum. As you note, I do have a high post count and I do like the place, as do you at PTS ... each to their own obviously ... but then I also like the idea of sharing good news/bargains/glitches to be shared by all.

I'm not, but people from PTS and FT with a grudge (not you, but some other people with misconceptions) keep criticising me, so it is clearly necessary for me to defend myself, particularly as I haven't done anything wrong.

Arh yes I take it you mean the 1000 pts on £50 groceries that was 1st posted on the Tesco Thread on 13/8/07 at 10.20am....
