co2 detector angel fire - beeping

Our CO detector is beeping, not the loud alarm, but a beep one every 10mins or so. The batteries have been changed so it isn't that. Anyone any ideas? It's a fireangel CO 9B

    On page 12 of this manual there are different indicaters and also phone numbers for customer support. Hope it`s nothing serious!

  • It may need replacing (the whole thing not just the batteries), take it off the wall and check the back - it should have instructions to explain what the different beeps mean.

    Yeah, it's beeping in a way not explained in the manual! I think we'll just replace it to be safe.
  • CO detectors have a pre-programmed lifespan (usually 5 - 7 years depending on the model). Once this time period has been reached the unit will bleep telling you it is time to be replaced.

    We had to replace ours recently. It started giving random bleeps, not connected to whether we had the stove on or not.
  • We had a Fire Angel smoke alarm that did this. I rang to ask advice (number was on the part that I could detach from the ceiling). The advisor on the phone said that it was likely that a bit of dust or a small spider had got into the workings. They posted out a free replacement that arrived a few days later.
