Left click button on my mouse has stopped working...HELP!!!!

Is there anything I can do or look at to try and fix it ???

In the meantime I'm sort of coping by using the right click button and the return key but I don't know how to enter a 'tick' to turn an option on/off?
Is there another way I can do this?

Cheers MC xxx

    If it's a non-standard mouse, check its configuration in Control Panel - Mouse. Hardware tab - Troubleshoot might help.

    Use the Space bar to toggle options. Tab, arrow, and return keys can also be used to navigate Windows dialogue boxes. Alt-tab to switch between running applications.

    Yes, just left click on Control Panel - left click on Mouse, left click on mouse buttons, left click on buttons config, left click on switch primary. Then left click on Ebay short cut and buy a new mouse.
    Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

    If it's not a USB mouse, make sure you haven't pulled the cable out of the PS/2 port a little bit, I've done that before :mad:
  • don't need a mouse just use windows shortcuts lol

    TAB = forward scrolling
    SHIFT+TAB = backwards scrolling
    SPACE = tick a box
    CTRL+A = select all
    CTRL+C = copy selected
    CTRL+V = paste
    CTRL+X = cut
    WINDOWS KEY+D = show desktop
    WINDOWS KEY+R = run
    WINDOWS KEY+S = windows search

    ALT+RIGHT ARROW = go forward one page
    ALT+LEFT ARROW = go back one page

    thats all i can think of off top of my head.

    Just 2 days ago I needed a mouse in a hurry and found an apparently broken one in my son's draw, neither right no left click would work but the scroll wheel and pointer did. Found that the base had come slightly detached at the front so the click buttons couldn't quite reach the micro switches inside. A drop of super glue then I held the front bits (base & cover) tightly together - presto! A fixed mouse.
