my greyhound developed a lump about 3 months ago on his neck about the size of a grape the bottom of his jawline.
Antibiotics cleared it up, but then it returned a week later!!
He had an op under sedation to drain it, the vet suspected a foreign body (grass seed) but didn't find anything inside when she operated.
All fine heals well and dog is fine. Only to return again a month later! (lump the size of a kiwi)Unfortunately i couldn't stop him getting at it yesterday morning and he manages to scratch it, opened it up! some fluid and blood drained out and I've cleaned it up. No more swelling and seems fine now :rotfl:
Guess i'll have it checked at vets tomorrow anyway but just bamboozled as to what it is!

Wonder if its a cyst? My cat had something similar last year, never did get to the bottom of it. Good luck with it.If you change nothing, nothing will change!!0

My beddy/whippet has a couple of lumps. In fact just had one removed at the base of his tail recently. When the lump was sent to the lab, it came back as nothing sinister, but caused by ingrown hairs.0

Thanks
Since he popped it himself nothing has returned!
Went to the vets she cleaned up the wound and gave antibiotics.
So hopefully we have seen the last of it :j0
