Virgin installation timescales - new provider options?

Hi,
We're moving this week and Virgin have offered the 12th January as being the first date they can install services at the new house, apparently it hasn't had services in there before; by this I assume broadband as I know it has a landline phone.

This date is unacceptable, has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions of an alternative provider for phone, broadband and TV?

Most of the usual suspects .
TT BT SKY Plusnet etc do some form of tv but obviously its not Virgin TV services .

All going to depend upon what TV channels you want .Plus the relevant ISP being able to turn on your services and actually supplying the new premises .

Thanks. House we're moving to already has Sky, so assume that won't be an issue. Just done a reccy online and it's over £15 cheaper a month. We just use general digital channels, but like that you get living and atlantic with sky as standard.

A month wait is pretty much the norm for landline and broadband.

The only real way to get it done any quicker is going with BT, but that can still be 2 to 3 week wait, and with Christmas coming it up it may well be the new year before anything is installed.

You can still have TV with Sky.

Bu who provides the landline phone?
  • You can attempt to jump the queue by checking the booking system daily however with this being xmas the delay should be expected

All done. The house only had broadband through sky, phone with BT.

We move Friday, TV being done Saturday, phone and broadband next Weds.

Also got 50% deal and movie for £9 a month, so happy :)
