    A flue that exits from a chimney as you put it would be an open flued appliance & is not measured using the same electronic equipment, safety is measured on other criteria, the measuring equipment is calibrated every 12 months & a cert issued

    This reminds me, i must phone and ask them to come and do me a service.
    I got a 5yr guarantee when i bought the boiler but only if i get an annual service, It must be getting near the end of the 5yrs now.
