I have been approach and agreed in principle to grant my neighbour permission to run an underground electricity wire from a pole on my property to a new house he is building on his property a distance of approx 216 yards.
I have been sent a Wayleave Agreement to sign by UK Power who say I will get a annual wayleave payment in future.
Should I also expect an up front payment for agreeing to it and if so how much?

sorry, i switched off when OP spelt 'principal' as 'principle'.
probably no great loss, though since everything i know about wayleaves could comfortably be written on the back of a micro SD card.FACT.0 -

what is your land worth?
could it ever be developed?
have you consulted a solicitor?0 -

AIUI, which ain't much, it all depends on the contract you sign with the power company. This is a private agreement between you and them.0
