It is almost Christmas. You must know somebody who would like a spa day. Give the gift to them, and then spend the money you've saved on something you would have preferred as a gift.

Unfortunately, this is the way the world works and there is no requirement for them to give you a refund. It's purely goodwill if they do.

If the refund falls through and the spa has a Facebook site, I would post on there that you have them to sell, maybe at a 10% discount, and I bet someone will snap your hand off for them.

Given the apparent rants that have already taken place on the Spas FB site I suspect this option is out :(

Why would you rant about a company on Facebook when you're in the wrong ? I hope you're embarrassed OP.

You've effectively blackmailed the spa into a refund. You must be very proud of yourself for that. Shameful behaviour.

I'm usually the one making similar posts to yours, but I kinda think that's a bit harsh here!

I think OP has approached this situation in the wrong way, BUT if you take her posts at face value then she's a good person with good intentions. Certainly wouldn't knock her for that...

Considering she's posted some not very nice things on FB about an innocent company, I don't see any good intentions.

A complete overreaction OP and posting on Facebook was uncalled for as the spa company did no wrong.
