I am using Windows Live Mail with Win 8.
I have been clearing my Googlemail inbox by highlighting an email then pressing delete on the keyboard why are the emails not showing in the deleted box and where are they now?

I've just tested my Gmail account in Windows Live Mail and deletions from the Inbox are appearing in the Deleted Items box as you would expect.
Have you got more than one email account set up in WLM because if you have, each account will have its own Deleted Items box, you may need to use the expand arrow alongside the account title to see it. Are you looking in the right Deleted Items box?
ETA: Another possibility ... Is your Gmail account IMAP, mine's POP. If IMAP, in Windows Live Mail go to Options > select Mail > Select the Advanced tab. Check the box that says 'Use the deleted items folder for IMAP account'.... Log into gmail web page and check if your deleted items are there.
Check your Livemail settings to see what it's telling deleted items to do. You may have it set to empty the bin on exit.
I don't use Live Mail, but looks like you need to start somewhere.....:)Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I'm using Windows 10, with a GMail email account set up in Windows Live Mail.
When deleting an email (in Live Mail), there is no 'delete' folder showing. Just spam and trash. Deleted emails go into Trash.
The Trash folder isn't showing as default in Live Mail. However, if you log into Gmail (at the server), you will see all your deleted emails in the Trash folder there. Each evening I just do a block delete, although I believe that they do eventually disappear.
