Best place to put my house money

Hi All
I have just sole my property and will be renting until I buy a new house, this could take a year or more. I am unsure of the best place to put the equity from my house sale to generate the most interest and keep it safe until I am ready to buy.
Any suggestions on the best savings accounts? I have read money saving experts advice but it doesn't seem to cover large sums of money for shorter term saving periods. I don't want to take any risks with it but would like to think I could earn some decent interest in the interim...

You could safely put it all in NS&I Income Bonds......
