Paying fees question

Options
I'm (hopefully - find out tomorrow) going back to uni to complete the second half of my final year

I'm just trying to work out my money for if I don't get any funding from the LEA

The fees for the full year is £3000 so am I right in thinking I will only need to pay £1500 and just go back in January

If so when do I pay????

Do they have to be paid in November either in full or in three £500 installments or do I pay in January??? when I go back????

Also I know the LEA only give funding for so long (length of course plus one year) but what about student loans do they have the same cut off point? or are they not as strict?

Thanks :)
Debts:
Student Loan
Student Overdraft
Cerdit Cards

Not ready to work out the total yet :D

Comments

  • Just double checked something and my fees are only £1175 a year (I'm on the old system) so if I take 'leave of absence' I'll be returning still on the old system (hopefully this is right)

So my half a year fees should be £600 not £1500

Woohoo!!!!! Might of just saved £900 in five minutes!

Still the same question tho when and how can I pay the fees????
    Debts:

Not ready to work out the total yet :D

Contact your uni's student finance office as they are the ones you are paying money to.

Your Local Authority decide what you are entitled to for your student loan. You are also now entitled to a tuition fee loan despite being an old system student.

If you have extenuating circumstances, you can contact your LA with the details as they do have a certain amount of discretion over the amount of years of funding you can have.
