Car Insurance Quote is all for FREE???!!?!?!

Hello,

Did a quote through gocompare for my 1.4s Golf.

I'm 22, 3 years NCD I got quoted £298 full comp through First Alternative.

I changed my excess from £250 down to £150.

Added on all of the Extra's they offer (fuel, loss of keys, increased personal injury)
Added £150 worth of breakdown.

And the quote still stands at £298 even on the payment screen.

Advice please? Shall I go ahead.

Regards,

Mr Univeristy ;)

Why not? Who are the underwriters? When you come to claim that is the test of the insurance company.

Make sure you go through to the insurers website and go through the details ticking the boxes. My daughter's quote did a similar thing on the insurers website and pressing recalculate, however, going through the individual sections I found it hadn't actually picked up the additions.

    Hi, its eSure*

Ive added all all, pressed re-calculate - stays the same.

Payment confirmation screen states that its all added for the same price.

Worried on whether to go through or not.

Is this the 1st time you have insured this car with them? Does your version of Golf have the adaptive cruise control aka AEB?
That seems to drop the premium a whole heap.

When you click buy you will probably be prompted to call them on the phone and find that the price isn't so good after all.

When paperwork arrives or email documents, read through them.
