Been for my health check - lasted 15mins

    - weight and height checked

    - bp checked

    - bloods taken (apparently for liver, kidney, thyroid, cholesterol)

    - asked if I smoked

    - asked if I drank alcohol

    - asked about family history of heart disease, cancer, diabetes etc

And that was that! I was told I should receive a letter with my blood test results within a week and if there was anything not quite right, the doc would be in touch.
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

I am in the middle of some tests for cancer and got a letter about breast screening, they said they are offering some breast screening as a trial to women under 50 and over 70 ie outside the time tests are normally done. If anyone has any interest/concerns it might be worth volunteering. A free test that could save your life is a real bargain in my book.
