My child will be taking KS2 Year 6 SATS in May 2016, and I just want to know whether Maths papers will be taken in one sitting or different days?
I guess the same applies to English papers.
Plus reading online not every school will take Science SATS, how do I find out whether my child is taking it or not?
Thanks

Ask the school? They're designed to test how well the school is teaching, though sadly schools seem to feel the need to base future 'sets' on their results.0 -
There will be 3 maths papers, each done on a different day.
There will be 3 English papers: a reading comprehension, a grammar test and a spelling test.
Each English test will be done on a different day.
So, the timetable may look like this
Monday: 1st lesson - English Reading Comp, Play time and assembly; 2nd lesson - Maths paper 1.
Tuesday and Wednesday will look the same.
The science test is random. By this, I mean that a school is randomly selected and a group of children are tested. The results are not released to anyone. I am not sure why science is tested this way. There probably will be changes, but not for a year or 2.
Hope that this helps.0
