Advice please. 9kg parcel to Thailand

Apart from Hermes Int. can anyone recommend (i.e. non account/ one time) a tracked/Insured service to Thailand.

Item is no bigger than 60cm x 60cm x 25cm. weight is 9Kg and value is £300. Buyer will be expecting £130 cost, but I am wondering just what else I can use.

Thank you.

It's a slow service at 15 working days, but it's fully tracked and just £26.99 plus insurance.
  • All sorted now. considering that I've never used anything other than RM for overseas. I was pleasantly surprised how simple it's all become. needles to say when given the 2 pricing options the buyer went for the slow cheaper one....

Will that cheaper option arrive in time for the ebay metrics? It is all very well offering buyers a choice as long as you are protected against a claim of INR when item is still in transit.

  • honest answer is I do not know. I cannot see where eBays delivery estimate for this service is.. and I suspect it will be wrong anyway.

I hope that the buyers English is better than my Thai. From his feedback I can see that he is no stranger to being shipped this type of item. so I'll have to wait and see.

The shipping itself is a two leg process like ebays GSP, and I would have liked to use it this one time, but it seems it's all my listings on GSP or none, so none it stays

I think it's DHL that have pre-paid, fixed-price boxes available in Ryman and WHSmith - can't account for duty, though :-)
