They're currently selling these for £39-99 at Rymans, so I thought I'd get one, and see if they're any good.
The verdict?
It's not a Hudl, but then, it doesn't cost anything like as much.
However, it is an Android tablet, and it works.
It doesn't start up, or shut down, as fast as the Hudl, and the only camera it has is a webcam
You'll almost certainly need a Micro SD Card, as it only has 4GB of internal memory, with about 2GB available to use.
Volume is quite low, so a pair of ear buds/speakers would probably be a good idea, if you intend to watch videos, or listen to music a lot.
Good points?
It's cheap, so it's not the end of the world, if it gets lost/stolen/broken.
It's very small (just 4.75" wide), meaning it'll fit the inside pocket of my jacket. It's also very light, weighing just 288g - 10.15oz.
The charger comes with interchangeable plug heads, meaning you won't need an adapter to plug it in, when travelling in Europe.
Will it replace my Hudl?
No, I won't, but I will carry it with me, in my inside pocket, as a matter of routine.
All in all, it's a little more than I expected for £40, and, IMHO, would be ideal, as a cheap tablet for the kids.
