After owning my own home for 11 years, I've just received a renewal notice from RSA for "Cover-Modular Home" for someone who has never owned my house ever and who doesn't reside here.
The address and postcode are correct suggesting this isn't an error.
It's a renewal of the policy (not a new policy with the usual accompanying pile of bumf) and it's computer generated signature is Robby Ryan.
I've tried the RSA website to contact them which is less than useful.
Is there an email address or do I have to wait until Monday at 09:00?

 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Doesn't sound it needs any urgent action
Either send it back marked not known or bin it0 -
Why the angry face?
Is there not a contact number on the letter? All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -
A common recommendation you say on this board and others is to never use your own address when getting quotes. Maybe someone used yours originally and forgot to change it.
Whatever the reason, just return to it RSA and mark it not known at this address.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Nope, it's weirder than that.
Today, I received the renewal documents from West Bromwich Building Society who use RSA to provide their insurance products.
I rang the number given on those forms and spoke to a guy who told me that the customer listed and I share the same building society branch and that the request to change his address came from inside the branch.
I've promised to destroy the documentation, go online and check my address is correct for my accounts and they'll launch an investigation into why someone in the branch requested the address change.
I won't hear any more from them.:huh: Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0
