Avast for i Pad? 'phishing'

I have subscription to Avast on my PC, can I add this protection to my i Pad or do I need to install seperately and pay another fee?
I thought my i Pad weas reasonably secure but received a 'phishing' e mail from someone saying they were from Santander and asking me the usual rubbish!
Advice please on best way forward re protection, thank you.

AV won't stop phishing emails. You can get those emails on any email capable device, desktop, phone, tablet etc.

All you need to do is delete them without clicking on anything, and if possible delete without opening if they have obvious errors in subject or a funny address.

Most will tell you not to bother with AV at all on an I Pad.

My opinion is do bother because hackers and scammers evolve all the time. It's better to be safe than sorry and it does not slow down your device significantly, if at all, as the nay sayers claim.

You can download a free Avast from your app store. Or look at Avast on the device you have a paid version, and see if you can register/link your i pad. I'm not sure how this works.
